Cable from the X-Force...

Another one similar to the last. A sketch that I ended up painting over. There's further to go on this one, but I doubt I'll finish it. Learned what I needed to. Back to some actual pages.

A logo...

Here's a logo I did for a team of friends and acquaintances that are taking part in a charitable run in a few weeks. I always look for something to try out when I tackle fun stuff like this. This one was an exercise in painting over a drawing, leaving no ink lines in the end. Also pushed it in Kirby territory with the figure.

Updates have been slow lately, mostly because all the work I've done recently is behind the scenes work for a solo project I have in the works. There's also some other work that, if everything falls into place, would be one hell of a project to reboot.

Two Recent Commissions...

Top: Red Sonja
Bottom: She-Hulk and Hellcat

Fun fun fun stuff. Commission aren't quite comics, but they're great drawing practice.

A Robot... A Caveman...

The organizers of the Calgary Expo asked if I could submit a piece for their annual convention art book. Whipped this up in a hurry. The topic of the book was Adventures in Time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Expo.

A print of this piece was auctioned off for charity as well.

If the robot strikes you as familiar, it's inspired by the Ashley Wood robots from Zombies vs Robots. The lopsided, bulky, banged up look to those robots blows my mind. There's a reason those robots were in my mind when I drew this, but that's a story for another time.

Calgary Expo 2015 - A few commissions...

A few commissions from this past weekend. I usually forget to take pictures of the commissions before I let them go. Added colour in photoshop after the fact.

Up top, a Corto Maltese sketch.
Down below, a Netflix Daredevil sketch.

John Difool Watercolour...

Testing out some water colour techniques on this sketch. Spent some time reading Final Incal this week, so I figured a John Difool headshot would be good practice.

Tightened up a script for a new thing as well, so we'll see what happens on that front.
